Polska! Year is a project covering a number of outstanding exhibitions and installations. Symbolists painters from Poland, including Wyspiański, Malczewski and Mehoffer, were shown for the first time in Tate Britain. Their works disclose mutual inspirations and relationships with the British Pre-Raphaelites. Also, as a result of cooperation with British curators, works by eminent young artists were presented, among them Mirosław Bałka, Robert Kuśmirowski, Goshka Macuga, Paulina Ołowska and Paweł Althamer. They received enthusiastic reviews rated with four and five stars. The Guardian placed the installation of a bunker from WWII by Robert Kuśmirowski among the five noteworthy exhibitions, while the video show by Bałka in Modern Art Oxford was hailed a masterpiece.
